Do I need an account?
No. VentiLo has no accounts and no sign-in. Your settings stay on your device.
Why does the app ask for my room's temperature and humidity?
VentiLo compares the air inside your home with the air outside to tell you when opening the windows actually helps. It has no indoor sensor, so you enter those two values once and update them when things change.
Why does it say to keep the windows closed on a nice day?
A "nice" day outside doesn't always mean opening the windows will help indoors. Outdoor air can contain more moisture than you might expect, be warmer than the air in your room, or be of poor quality. VentiLo only recommends opening the windows when the outside air would improve the temperature or humidity in your room.
Does VentiLo assess indoor air quality?
No. VentiLo works only with temperature and humidity, inside and outside your home, and uses outdoor air quality (such as particulate matter) only to make its advice more cautious. It does not measure or estimate CO2, pollutants, or indoor air quality, it gives no medical advice, and it does not replace regularly airing your rooms: it only suggests the best times to do it.
Does VentiLo track my location?
Location is optional: you can search for a city by name instead. If you do use it, coordinates are rounded to about 110 meters before any request and are used only to fetch local weather. VentiLo has no servers of its own and stores nothing about you.
Where does the data come from?
Weather data and city search are provided by Open-Meteo; air-quality data is provided by CAMS (Copernicus). Full attribution is in the app under Settings > About.
